“Turn off your mind, relax, and float downstream” in this 90-minute flow class with Brianna Owens set to an all Beatles playlist. Music is a powerful tool to aid us in our experience on our mats, a tool that can both enhance and deepen the physical, mental, and spiritual work we engage in when we practice yoga.
The Beatles often explored themes of being, consciousness, awareness, and spirituality in their work, and they were instrumental figures in bringing Eastern yogic ideals to the West.
We will begin class with a short conversation about the group’s relationship with the Maharishi, their implementation and interest in transcendental meditation, Indian ideology, and Eastern melodic structures. We will then hit our mats for a light-hearted, all-levels flow class in which you are encouraged to sing, dance, and experience your practice in whatever way the music compels you!
