Yoga for Gardeners

We began as mineral. We emerged into plant life, and into the animal state, and then into being human, and always we have forgotten our former states, except in early spring when we slightly recall being green again. ~Rumi

After the doldrums of winter, gardeners celebrate the return of planting season with renewed zeal and a tendency to overdo. All of this over-exuberance can lead to aches, pains, and some serious muscle fatigue.

This workshop will focus on yoga stretches to warm up your joints and muscles before working the soil. Katie will specifically focus on poses and stretches that target those areas of the body that are subject to repetitive motion and overuse: neck, shoulders, back, hands, knees, hips, and feet.

Facilitator: Katie Belisle-Iffrig

Cost: $15 drop in, class card
