This gentle yoga series is designed specifically to support your body and mind during the journey of pregnancy. We will move to stabilize and balance the pelvic floor, hips, and deep core. We will also work on shoulder and upper back mobilization to release tension and promote healthy posture.
This class is NOT just modifying traditional yoga poses to accommodate your growing belly! We will be practicing movement and breathwork that is unique to the needs of pregnancy and birth.
The right kind of movement can help prepare the body for childbirth, encourage optimal fetal positioning, and help prevent pregnancy related injuries such as diastasis recti and prolapse. At the same time, these practices therapeutically address aches and pains commonly experienced during pregnancy.
In addition to physical benefits, the practice of mindful movement and meditation is such a powerful way to connect with your baby!
Expect a therapeutic mixture of strengthening, release, breathwork, and meditation. You will come away with the knowledge to continue your healthy movement practice on your own throughout your journey.
This class is open to all levels of experience and all stages of pregnancy.
