We spend 1/3 of our lives sleeping, but our waking behaviors, postures, and habits can all drastically affect the depth of nourishment we receive from sleep. Our bodies need proper rest to perform, problem-solve, relate to others, create, and express ourselves.
Truly, our wakeful wellness hinges not just on how long we sleep, but how we prepare our bodies before we sleep. While yoga is often relied on for energizing stretch or cultivating strength, it can also be used to transform our relationship with sleep.
These classes are designed to connect you more deeply to a sense of grounding and ease through gentle and Restorative yoga. Restful shapes and breathing can help us recover from a night of fitful or elusive sleep, ease us into deeper, dreamier states of relaxation so we can fall asleep, and unburden physical, mental, and emotional tension so we stay asleep longer.
