Move Like a Baby: Good Morning Slow Flow

When we were infants, we partnered with the ground and explored our world through mobile joints, a developing core, and fresh eyes. Returning to such a foundation can offer newfound integrity, bodily awareness, strength, and stability to our adult bodies. This practice will reconceptualize our everyday movement patterns through the lens of the motions we learned first: our developmental milestones. In addition, we’ll explore stretches and alignment for healthy load bearing, balance, posture, and gait. Come with an open mind, leave with a new appreciation for your incredible body--and a new tip or trick for moving with more ease!

NEW CLASS! Deep Stretch Yoga

NEW CLASS! Deep Stretch Yoga

This is your permission slip to slow way down. Deep Stretch Yoga is like a long sigh for your body—no rushing, no pushing, no “am I doing this right?” We take our time, sink into juicy stretches, and let gravity do most of the work while you focus on breathing and melting.

Expect lots of floor time, comfy props, and poses that hold stretches a little longer so the muscles can actually soften and your nervous system gets the memo that it’s safe to relax. Think stretchy, cozy, and quietly transformative.

Perfect for anyone with tightness in your body, busy minds, and anyone who wants to leave class feeling longer, lighter, and slightly blissed out.

Come stretch and tune in to your body.

A Kundalini Journey Through the Chakras

A Kundalini Journey Through the Chakras

This journey invites you into how the ancient practices of Kundalini yoga help balance and activate the seven major energy centers of the body, known as the chakras. We’ll begin with an introductory session that explores how Kundalini yoga works with our life force energy, awakening and guiding it along the spine to support greater states of inner peace, ecstatic joy, and expanded consciousness.

Each session that follows will focus on one chakra, using a blend of breathwork, static and dynamic movement, meditation, and mantra to explore and ignite the unique qualities of that energy center. Classes are designed to be experienced either individually or as part of a longer arc, with each session offering a complete and meaningful practice on its own. Together, they form an experiential journey and a practical exploration, offering tools you can integrate into daily life. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of the energetic technologies at work within your body and a rich set of practices for harmonizing your inner and outer worlds.

Finding Your Natural Teaching Voice

Calling all yoga teachers, school teachers, fitness instructors, public speakers, and sales professionals!

Do you ever find yourself straining to be heard? Maybe your voice feels tired after a long week of teaching, or you struggle to project with confidence. If you’ve ever wished your voice could carry with more ease, resonance, and presence — this workshop is for you.

Rachel Roberts, theatrically trained at The Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University, has been a full-time yoga teacher for 10 years. Her classical vocal training became an invaluable foundation for the countless hours of speaking required in her teaching career. Over the years, she’s noticed how little vocal support exists for professionals outside of the theater — even though so many of us rely on our voices every day.

In this workshop, you’ll explore simple, effective breathing practices and vocal tools you can use immediately — whether you’re teaching a class, giving a presentation, leading a meeting, or speaking in your everyday life.

The Inner Temple Journey

The Inner Temple Journey

A Monthly Cacao, Breath, Astrology, Group Reiki & Sound Experience

The Inner Temple Journey is a monthly afternoon ceremonial gathering — a sacred pause in the middle of the day to return inward, attune to the wisdom of the cosmos, and restore harmony through ritual, breath, energy, and sound.

Each month, our journey is guided by the astrological sign of the season, offering a collective theme for reflection, embodiment, and healing. The zodiac becomes a living map — illuminating the emotional, energetic, and spiritual invitations present at this point in the lunar and solar cycle, and shaping the intention of our time together.

We begin with a heart-opening cacao ceremony, honoring cacao as a sacred plant ally and gentle teacher. Prepared with intention, ceremonial-grade cacao supports emotional openness, embodied presence, and connection — to yourself and to the shared circle.

From there, we move into the medicine of the breath. Through conscious, rhythmic breathwork, we awaken life force energy, release stored tension, and soften emotional holding. Breath becomes the bridge between body and spirit, guiding you toward clarity, vitality, and inner spaciousness.

During the breathwork journey, we will open the field to receive collective Reiki, offering universal life force energy to the group as a whole. This shared energetic field supports nervous system regulation, balance, and integration as breath gently guides the process.

Our journey concludes with healing sound, including crystal singing bowls, resonant vocal tones, and meditative vibrations. Sound gently integrates the afternoon’s work, helping insights and energetic shifts settle and anchor before you return to the rest of your day.

This gathering is open to all — whether you are new to ceremonial spaces or deeply familiar with energy work. Each month is unique, shaped by the astrology of the season and the energy of those present. You are held with care, respect, and attunement, so you may feel safe, supported, and deeply seen.

Meet Your Healing Facilitators

Dr. Charlotte Meier is a multidimensional healer and intuitive guide, blending Reiki, acupuncture, biogeometric chiropractic care, and integrative bodywork to support the release of stagnation, restoration of balance, and reconnection to inner wisdom. Her work is rooted in ancestral awareness, spiritual insight, and body-based healing.

Julie Scott is a Breathwork facilitator and transformational life coach, weaving neuro-rehab, massage therapy, and somatic practices into her work. She supports emotional release, nervous system regulation, and spiritual reconnection with compassion, clarity, and grounded tools for lasting change.

Together, Charlotte and Julie create immersive, soul-centered experiences that honor the whole person — body, mind, and spirit — blending ritual, science, and intuitive practice to support deep healing, empowerment, and self-discovery.

What to Bring

A water bottle, yoga mat, pillow, eye mask, or anything you need to feel comfortable while lying down. Blankets and bolsters are provided.

Ceremonial Cacao Notes

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, take antidepressants (especially MAOIs or SSRIs), have a heart condition, or are caffeine-sensitive, please consult with your healthcare provider before participating. You may choose a smaller dose or opt out of cacao while still enjoying the full experience.

Preparing for Your Ceremony

For the most supportive experience, we recommend the following within 24 hours beforehand:

  • Avoid alcohol, recreational drugs, and heavy or processed foods

  • Limit caffeine the morning of the event

  • Eat light, nourishing meals and refrain from eating 2–3 hours before the ceremony

  • Stay well-hydrated

  • Set a personal intention aligned with the astrological theme of the month

  • These practices help you arrive grounded, open, and present for this midday sacred journey.

Spring Equinox Sacred Sound Journey with Singing Bowls

Spring Equinox Sacred Sound Journey with Singing Bowls

The Spring Equinox is a holy pause in the turning of the cosmos — a moment when light and darkness meet as equals, and the veil between what has been and what is becoming grows thin. Nature stands at the threshold, whispering an invitation to soften, listen, and realign with the deeper rhythms of life.

This is a time of shedding and remembering. Of releasing old skins, outdated stories, and ways of being that no longer serve the soul’s unfolding. In this fertile in-between space, we prepare the inner ground to receive new intentions, planting seeds that will grow under the lingering energy of the Pisces New Moon and the returning light.

You are invited into a sacred sound journey supported by gentle, restorative postures and the resonant healing frequencies of Himalayan and crystal singing bowls, drums, chimes and water sounds. As sound washes through the body, the nervous system unwinds, the mind settles, and the soul opens to possibility.

This journey through vibration and stillness will leave you feeling rooted, attuned, and quietly inspired — aligned with the wisdom of the earth and the next turn of the Wheel of the Year.

Gathering the Wild: A Grounded Walk in Webster Groves

Gathering the Wild: A Grounded Walk in Webster Groves

Join us for a gentle walk through Blackburn Park in the soft light of early evening, as the day begins to turn toward sunset. As part of the natural world ourselves, returning to nature invites us back inward — a chance to discharge what we’ve been carrying and quietly recharge our batteries.

Guided by Leslie Drewel, a longtime nature lover and former Naturalist at Powder Valley, whose passion for hiking and bird watching is complemented by an interest in wild edibles, we’ll learn about the nature that surrounds us, touch on foraging, and allow ourselves to slow down and get grounded.

We’ll spend time noticing the park’s bird sanctuary, tuning into birdsong and the life it supports. As we walk among the trees, we’re reminded of reciprocity — how they offer us oxygen with every breath, and how we give back carbon dioxide in return. Nature shares all she has with us, and walking in the woods can gently remind us that we already have everything we need, that we are connected, supported, and held by Mother Earth and every living thing.

Slowing down to listen, to be present, and to feel thankful for the birds, bugs, bushes, and unseen rhythms of the land is a simple and nourishing way to end the week.

This gathering is about grounding in nature, being in community, and reconnecting with the living world around us as the light fades and the nervous system settles. We’ll move at an easy pace, pausing to observe, ask questions, and share what we notice together.

Come as you are. Wear comfortable walking shoes and a mug for tea we’ll make from what we forage onsite.

Park in the lot off of East Jackson. Walk up the paved pathway in the middle of the park and right before you get to the tennis courts/ bathroom pavilion, you will se us on the left.

The Power of Breath — Journey to Mind–Body Balance

to Apr 29

The Power of Breath — Journey to Mind–Body Balance

This class invites you to explore the power of conscious breathing as a pathway to improved health and a balanced mind–body connection.

Through guided practice, you will discover the principles and benefits of Swara Yoga, an ancient yogic method for harmonizing body, mind, and consciousness through the breath.

Breath is more than a physical process—it is the rhythm of life, an anchor during stress, and a gateway to healing and self-awareness. Conscious breathing practices help regulate the nervous system, improve focus, enhance emotional resilience, and restore inner balance.

These classes are a journey inward, allowing you to harness the transformative power of mindful breathing to reset the body, calm the mind, and nourish the spirit.

Each session integrates breathing techniques (pranayama), gentle yoga asanas, and meditation practices to support holistic well-being. The asanas will improve flexibility, strength, posture, and circulation while helping release physical tension accumulated throughout the day.

Meditation practices will cultivate mental clarity, emotional stability, and deeper self-awareness, allowing participants to experience lasting relaxation and restorative sleep.

Suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners.

Yoga Teacher Training & Immersion 2026

Yoga Teacher Training & Immersion 2026

Joy of Yoga and Wildwood Yoga are conducting a 200HR Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher Training Program and Immersion for anyone wanting to become a certified yoga teacher or simply deepen their yoga practice and understanding of yoga's roots. The content of this course encourages meaningful engagement with all 8 Limbs of Yoga and how they apply to our modern lives.

What makes this Yoga Teacher Training distinctive is its ability to draw from a wide spectrum of yoga practices, philosophies and techniques. This training promises to deliver intellectually stimulating content, physically empowering practices, and spiritual connection. There is a large focus on spirituality, meditation, pranayama, and philosophy as well as anatomy, alignment and physical postures.

Joy and Jill created this teacher training to be about more than just teaching. While the success rate of motivated students becoming teachers through this course is high, many take this training to deepen their experience of yoga in their daily life and gain a deeper understanding of yoga's history, philosophy and practical application in today's world.

Each training weekend is infused with the mythical stories of Yoga, and the energies of a mythical deity that applies to the content of that weekend. We will weave the iconography, mythology, mantras and energy/role of that deity throughout the weekend's philosophy teachings, meditations and chanting, covering many of the most widely recognized deities in the Hindu pantheon.

This is a Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher Training. During this training, you will also develop skills and education around Trauma-informed yoga.

Upon completing this training, all students will have free access at no additional cost to a mentorship/coaching program headed by Joy and Jill to further develop your skills as a yoga teacher or deepen yoga in your everyday life after the completion of the training.

Every student receives unlimited free yoga classes at both Joy of Yoga and Wildwood Yoga for the duration of the program.

Requirements for this training: A desire to learn and immerse yourself in the teachings of yoga. Physical strength and flexibility are not requirements to be a yoga teacher. The desire to better yourself and those around you are the requirements for this training.

This training is designed to connect you to your inner teacher and guide. This is not a set of prescribed sequences that must be delivered with prescribed speech. It is a map to lead you to that inner wisdom and voice of the teacher within. Intuition, creativity, connection and thoughtful application are the cornerstones of the knowledge and teaching methods you will gain. Teachers will learn the art of sequencing, knowing that there is never just one way, but that there is always an authentic and intuitive approach.

Regardless of where you find yourself in your yoga practice, this training will transform each of us on every level.

Some reviews from our graduates...

After many years of Yoga and several years of internal debate about teacher training, Joy and Jill's class at Joy of Yoga and Wildwood Yoga came recommended by a couple of mutual friends. The class was perfect for what I wanted to achieve. I wanted a class that balanced the physical asana practice with broad spiritual perspective. That and so much more were taught over the 10 month period. I would highly recommend this course for anyone looking to take their practice to levels beyond the basics of Yoga. Namaste. -Geoff

I can not say enough great things about Joy of Yoga and my teacher training. I would give my experience a 15/10 if I could. I learned so much and so grateful for the training. This was life changing for me in all the best ways. So if you are thinking about teacher training, Joy of Yoga is amazing!!!! The best in my opinion!! Joy Page and Jill Dunlap are the best teachers!! - Sandy

Joy and Jill led us on an incredible TT journey of many steps and many breaths! It was wonderful and am so thankful for their insight, guidance and support. -Caroline

Joy and Jill’s 200hour training program is well thought out and executed. They provide ample time and attention to anatomy, philosophy, and meditation/breathwork. The program was shaken up by the pandemic of 2020 and they did an amazing job continuing our education throughout these unsteady times. Their attention to detail and personal connection to their students made us all feel safe. I am so proud to be part of a training program that teaches from the heart and is more trauma informed with their language and teaching styles. This program is one that can not be compared to many and is my top choice for training in St Louis. -Rachel

My experience with Jill and Joy was one that I will carry with me forever! I started this journey for my own personal growth and expansion of my practice. It became so much more to me. Jill and Joy are not only beyond knowledgeable, but they are supportive, positive, and caring. Their program teaches so much more than just asanas. If you are looking for a program that will stretch your thinking and understanding of yoga, make you grow in ways you did not even think possible, and will challenge you to find your inner voice, this is the one for you! I cannot recommend this program enough! I am so thankful that I found it. Enjoy your journey! Namaste. -Lindsey

My teacher training was taught by two amazing yoga teachers, Joy Page of Joy of Yoga and Jill Dunlap of Wildwood Yoga and Wellness. We got caught in an unprecedented time due to COVID and both Joy and Jill were able to continue our training without much hiccups. They found creative ways around all the hurdles keeping the training challenging and interesting for us. Having two teachers teach us exposed two different perspectives and far exceeded my expectations. Jill and Joy are well versed in yoga in practice and its philosophy and are thorough. Both go beyond what may be needed for this class and you can see that they have put a lot of time and effort. Jill and Joy are both very humble and very caring. I highly recommend their yoga teacher training program. Thank you Jill and Joy. -Bhanu

Ayurveda Spring Community Cleanse: The Path to Vitality
Apr

to May 3

Ayurveda Spring Community Cleanse: The Path to Vitality

Join us as we gently move out the old and make space for the new. Seasonal transitions often leave us feeling a little stuck — in our habits, our energy, or our thinking. We may feel heavy in the body, cloudy in the mind, or unsure in our decision making. Ayurveda recognizes this as a natural part of moving between seasons, and it also teaches that this is the ideal time to cleanse, reset, and restore balance.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, a detox isn’t about deprivation or extremes. It’s about opening the body’s channels so that what has accumulated can move out while nourishment moves in. This includes toxicity in all realms of life — physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual.

Our time together will begin with two weeks of learning and preparation. During this phase we will explore the foundations of Ayurveda — the five elements, the doshas, and how these energetic principles shape our unique mind-body constitution. You’ll begin to understand your own dosha and learn how to recognize imbalances as they arise. Most importantly, you’ll learn how to create balance in ways that are individualized and supportive for your own system. This preparation phase helps ensure that when we begin the detox process, you are doing so in a way that truly aligns with your body rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

Its wisdom is rooted in simplicity. Ayurveda encourages gradual lifestyle shifts that allow new habits to take root naturally, making transformation both sustainable and deeply supportive over time.

Research shows that meaningful change often happens more easily and lasts longer when we move through the process together. During this detox we will stay connected through daily group interaction and guidance from Joy, offering support, accountability, and encouragement as we move through the experience as a community. This creates a very different relationship to detoxing and habit change — one rooted in support rather than struggle.

Throughout the program we will explore Ayurvedic practices for nourishment, cultivating body wisdom, removing toxicity, and building vitality. You’ll be invited to take what resonates and leave what doesn’t. In my own life, these practices have helped reduce inflammation, increase energy, improve sleep, bring greater clarity to thinking and decision making, and spark more creativity and joy.

While these Ayurvedic tools can support detox in many areas of life, we will also share simple recipes for food and drink and learn about digestive spices and herbs. Meals will be nourishing, satisfying, protein- and nutrient-rich, vegetarian, and simple to prepare — often one-pot recipes. You will not go hungry. The focus is on nourishment and balance, not restriction.

You will also learn about the doshas and begin to understand your own unique mind-body constitution. With this awareness, you can make more supportive choices around food, spices, daily rhythms, and lifestyle practices that work best for your individual system. These insights can support better sleep, more stable energy, stronger digestion and lymphatic flow, soothed adrenals, and greater emotional and mental clarity.

Together we will create a loving presence for the body and nurture it back toward balance and wholeness. This approach isn’t about forcing change through willpower. It’s about gently shifting our biochemistry and neurochemistry, restoring the body’s natural intelligence, and allowing the body and intuition to lead the way.

This cleanse includes:

  • Experience accountability as we stay connected through daily group interaction and receive daily guidance from Joy, guiding us on our detox journey.

  • Pre-Recorded 2HR Workshop: Intro to Ayurveda and the Elements with Joy

  • 2 Pre-Recorded Yoga Classes each week with Joy (gentle yoga and breathwork with ayurvedic approach)

  • 4 In Person Weekly Workshops (in studio only)- each workshop is 2 hours and includes a homemade meal, meditation, pranayama, mantra, lecture and hands on experience

  • All herbs, spices and supplements for Week 1 of the detox

  • Optional recipes to help shift eating habits

  • Weekly Handouts

A Monthly Cacao, Breath, Astrology, Group Reiki & Sound Experience

The Inner Temple Journey is a monthly afternoon ceremonial gathering — a sacred pause in the middle of the day to return inward, attune to the wisdom of the cosmos, and restore harmony through ritual, breath, energy, and sound.

Each month, our journey is guided by the astrological sign of the season, offering a collective theme for reflection, embodiment, and healing.

The Inner Roadmap: A Journey Through the Chakras

The Inner Roadmap: A Journey Through the Chakras

Ever feel like your "battery" is drained, even when you’ve slept? Or maybe you feel physically strong but mentally scattered? In the yogic tradition, we have an internal map of energy centers called Chakras.

Think of them as the electrical hubs of your body, when they’re clear and flowing, you feel balanced, focused, and vibrant. When they’re "clogged," life can feel like an uphill climb.

Join us for these classes where we move beyond just "stretching" and start tuning into the subtle architecture of our own energy. Each week, we dive deep into one specific chakra using a blend of targeted asanas (poses), pranayama (breathwork), and focused meditation.

We’ll use the body as a doorway to balance your nervous system and refine your focus. You’ll learn how these centers affect your physical health, your emotional resilience, and the natural rhythm of your breath. You’ll walk away with more than just a "yoga high", you’ll have a toolkit to manage your energy long after you leave the mat.

You don’t need to be a mystic to do this work; you just need to be a human who wants to feel a little more centered in a chaotic world.

In these shares, we will learn various Reiki techniques, different ways to use our Reiki to help ease our own stress, and the suffering of others.

Reiki L2 Training (Second Degree)

Take your Reiki practice to the next level with this intermediate training, designed to expand your skills and confidence as a Reiki practitioner.

Through this attunement, your connection to the Reiki current strengthens and becomes more focused. You will be introduced to the sacred symbols, learn how to work with them to amplify Reiki energy, offer protection, and send healing across distance, time, and space.

Rest as Reciprocity (Mentorship Module)

Teaching Restorative yoga and other rest-centered practices allows us to develop deep, meaningful relationships, opens our hearts and minds to more clarity, and even influences our words and deeds through the lens of support and ease. Despite these benefits, commitment to this life-changing practice often lacks collaboration and counsel with other instructors, a vital component of nourishing our capacity and sustaining our teaching over time. This program helps participants foster confidence and finesse in their teaching by: refining space-holding capability through teaching observation, developing creativity through personalized assignments and self-study, and reflecting in 1-on-1 meetings with Alicia Delaney. Pre-requisite attendance in all other module trainings is not required, but is strongly encouraged; those who participate in only this module will create an independent study schedule directly with Alicia. In addition to direct mentorship contact and homework assignments, all participants will be required to attend a practicum and discussion on Saturday, December 12th from 1:00 - 4:00 PM in the Main Studio at Joy of Yoga in order to receive a full 10 hours of continuing education credit.

Uplevel your downward-facing dog alongside fluffy four-legged friends. This donation-based event partners with and benefits CHAMP Assistance Dogs to support their work in our community. Two therapy dogs trained through this special local organization will join us in the studio to add a playful, calming vibe to our gentle movement.

Proceeds of this event will help raise funds for CHAMP’s (Canine Helpers Allow More Possibilities) mission to secure, place, and train service dogs for multiple purposes: to help people with disabilities enjoy greater independence; to support facilities like courthouses, prisons, advocacy centers, and healthcare hubs; and to educate the general public about the value of service animals. CHAMP’s Therapy Dog program delivers free therapy dog visits to hospitals, schools, elder care facilities, libraries and more.

SOLD OUT! Winter’s Wisdom: Acupuncture + Sound to Awaken Your Soul's Essence

SOLD OUT! Winter’s Wisdom: Acupuncture + Sound to Awaken Your Soul's Essence

Step into a winter-season healing journey with Joy Page and Dr. Maegan Lemp at Joy of Yoga—an immersive blend of Acupuncture & Sound Healing designed to nourish the Water–Fire axis and help you reconnect with your truest essence.

As we move through the colder months, our bodies naturally turn inward. In Chinese medicine, this is the season of the Water element, the deep reservoir that holds your ancestral wisdom, your quiet strength, and the most unfiltered version of who you are. When Water is balanced and supported, its truths rise upward to meet the Heart—your inner flame—allowing you to embody your authentic Self in the world with clarity, confidence, and ease.

The essence of Chinese medicine lies in the relationship of the Water and Fire elements (Kidney & Heart). The Water element is a reservoir that houses deep wisdom & the most true version of your Self. When in balance, this truth rises up and is communicated to your Heart — which oversees your ability to embody your authentic Self in the world.

Dr. Maegan, Dipl. Ac., L.Ac., CPHPCA, will guide you through an acupuncture treatment that works with the extraordinary meridians—pathways that tap into your foundational energy and help realign your mind, body, and spirit. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing for access to the lower legs, forearms, and sternum.

As the needles are gently placed, Joy will weave a meditative sound journey using crystal and Tibetan bowls, drums, and chimes. These frequencies move like currents of Water and waves of Fire—soothing the nervous system, softening internal resistance, and awakening the subtle intelligence that lives beneath the surface of your awareness.

Together, acupuncture and sound become a bridge between the depths and the heart:
Join us as we merge the experience of sound and acupuncture to nourish the Water–Fire axis — inviting clarity, wisdom, and purpose into your Heart.

This session is crafted to support you through winter’s introspective season—whether you’re navigating emotional heaviness, hormonal shifts, fatigue, tension, or simply longing to feel more aligned and centered. Leave feeling grounded, replenished, and more connected to the quiet voice within that is ready to guide you into the months ahead.

This floor-based class weaves myofascial release with yin-inspired stillness, using soft, grippy therapy balls and long-held, supported stretches to reset your body and calm your mind.

Reiki L1 Training (Level 1)

to Feb 22

Reiki L1 Training (Level 1)

This training is open to anyone and is one of the most thorough and comrehensive available. Because the course is spread out over multiple weeks, this allows appropriate time to learn, practice, and integrate the Reiki energy.

Students receive many hours of hands-on experience. And, at the end of this training, practitioners feel confident in their ability to use Reiki energy to heal themselves and others.

In this training, we emphasize spiritual growth and Reiki healing as a life-long pursuit, and provide many additional handouts, websites, organizations, and other resources for Reiki students to access along the way and after the training.

Reiki is a powerful healing technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is based on the knowledge that "life force energy" flows through us and keeps us balanced, alive and well.

When we're not feeling well, it can be caused by blockages in our flow of energy that becomes stagnant causing us to feel stuck, overly emotional or stressed. Reiki works to clear and balance the energies of the body, bringing about profound physical, emotional, and spiritual changes in a person.

During this course we will learn:

  • The background and history of Reiki

  • Energy Healing concepts

  • Techniques to Ground Energy

  • How Reiki Works (including specific scientific studies)

  • How to use Reiki to heal oneself

  • How to use Reiki to heal others (including animals)

  • How to Clear and Protect Your Energy

  • How to Imbue Sacred Objects with Reiki

Upon completing this training, you will have receive your Reiki I Attunement in Traditional Usui Reiki First Degree, and a certificate as a Traditional Usui First Degree Practitioner.

This is a two-part active breathing meditation where you will be given permission to release tension, energetic blocks and emotional residue that may be clouding your connection to your self, to your heart. This practice is an opportunity to quiet the noise of the outer world, of the mind, and listen deeply to the wisdom that lives in your body and breath. As your energy clears, your nervous system will begin to soften, creating space for calm, clarity and a renewed sense of spiritual connection. You will leave feeling grounded, open-hearted, and attuned to the gentle light within that continues to guide you.

All levels are welcome. Permission to arrive exactly as you are.

Optional to bring your own blanket and eye pillow to create a safe and nurturing atmosphere as you breathe into inner peace and connection.

Discover Reiki: A Journey of Healing and Light

Have you been curious about Reiki? Maybe you’ve received it during one of our sound healing sessions and wondered what just happened—or heard others at the studio talking about Reiki and felt a spark of interest yourself.

Step into the gentle flow of Reiki, a sacred practice rooted in healing, balance, and deep self-awareness. This beginner-friendly class offers a soft, welcoming introduction to working with life-force energy, inviting you to nourish your inner light and reconnect with the natural harmony within and around you. No experience necessary.

Each gathering weaves together learning, guided meditation, and energy work. You’ll explore the origins, spirit, and universal energy behind Reiki and begin to understand the deeper meaning of its guiding principles. You’ll learn to sense subtle energy fields and practice foundational hand positions for self-healing and balance. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore the energy of Reiki in a supportive environment, opening pathways to intuition, compassion, and energetic awareness. Through guided practice and reflection, you’ll integrate your insights and discover how to carry the gentle power of Reiki into your everyday life.

Your curiosity is warmly welcomed. You’ll leave with a grounded understanding of Reiki and a heart attuned to its quiet, transformative healing essence.
