Guiding rest practices will always be relevant because the nature of the human condition is restlessness. This training is devoted to all those dedicated to teaching the rich discipline of relaxation. 10 hours of study will support a specialized understanding of Restorative yoga’s scriptural, philosophical, and existential roots, the spiritual questions we face when resting, and how the practice can lead us to deeper meaning, greater truth, and marked healing from the inside out. Tending to the considerations of seasoned instructors, this weekend explores best practices, expands the dimensions of our reservoir of service, and connects us to Rest’s divine influence in our lives beyond the mat. Topics of discussion and training will include:
Spiritual Implications for Rest—Ancient Teachings, Love, Death & Relaxation
The Placebo Effect and the Work of Dr. Herbert Benson
Tending to the Psoas, the Muscle of the Soul
Nervous System Coherence and Co-regulation
Classroom Management, Troubleshooting, and Skillfully Meeting the Moment
