Using Your Emotions as a Spiritual Practice

  • Joy of Yoga 8918 Manchester Road Brentwood, MO, 63144 United States (map)

Awareness of emotional experiences and how to use them as clues to what to do in a moment or in our lifestyle can be revolutionary to our overall well-being and spiritual health.

Do you ever feel stuck because the relief you crave seems to require somebody or something to change? Do you try to "be a good person" but end up in cycles, trying conversations or inner conflict?

Would you love to be effortlessly intentional within your relationships or day-to-day activities? Or would like new ideas about how to even "set an intention"?

Do you simply want to have some fun exploring the wonder of emotions and how they can be used in light of how you are already recognizing Spirit, God, Peace.

Then, truly, you will love this workshop as the lens we offer will establish, energize, revamp or evolve your spiritual practice.

During your time, you will explore 9 spiritual characteristics: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, self-control, faithfulness, and goodness, and define your personal antonym (opposite).

We will walk through a selection of imagery, passages, and everyday activities that reflect these 9 characteristics to invigorate or establish a spiritual practice. We will close our time applying what we have learned to set an intention (sankalpa) for a Yoga Nidra practice.

At the end of the workshop, you will have a compass personally tailored for navigating skillfully your current season of life.
