A 4-week somatic breathwork series to bring healing to your emotional body, to cultivate self-compassion and safe exploration around feelings and pleasure within your body.
What is somatic breathwork? Somatic means “of the body”, as opposed to the mind. Somatic breathwork is a practice that dethaws frozen emotions, releases trapped energy, & brings you into deeper connection with your body and inner landscape. We’ll also be using somatic tools to help you gain a deeper understanding of your emotions, pleasure & desires.
Feeling is Healing: It is brave to feel. When we are able to compassionately witness our emotions, not make them “wrong” and safely express them, we are able to be in flow with the natural ebbs and flows of life. In a world where we are encouraged to push down our feelings and participate in a culture that profits off of us numbing out, feeling is a revolutionary act! This workshop is meant to be a safe space for you to cultivate more self-connection and empower you to have a more healthy relationship with sensation, your emotions, pleasure and aligned desires.
What you can expect: Each week, we will begin with a teaching session and group discussion around that day’s theme. Next, you’ll lie down for a 45-minute somatic breathwork journey. We will finish with a post-breathe reflection and integration discussion. You’ll also receive practices and tools to take with you into your week between sessions for deeper healing and integration.
Week 1: Sensation - Begin to cultivate a deeper relationship with physical sensation so you can live in deeper embodiment.
Week 2: Feeling - Learn how to move from suppressing and resisting emotion into a healthy, loving relationship with and expression of them.
Week 3: Pleasure - Open up to deeper levels of pleasure & joy in your body & life.
Week 4: Desire - Deepen your listening to your body and soul's desires
To get the most out of this workshop, it is recommended to attend every class to fully immerse yourself in the healing journey; however if you cannot, drop-ins are welcome.
