Your yoga practice should meet you exactly where you are, and a chair can be a steady, generous place to begin. In this workshop, we’ll take a “teach a person to fish” approach: instead of memorizing a list of poses, you’ll learn the principles that let you shape any posture to fit your body. We’ll start where all good practice starts, with the breath and alignment. From there, we’ll move through a handful of simple poses you can return to at home, in a daily practice of just 5 to 15 minutes. We’ll also explore how to adapt a regular yoga class as it unfolds, so you can feel at ease reaching for a chair, even when no one else in the room is. You’ll leave feeling grounded, capable, and confident that your practice belongs to you, however it looks.
