“Inhale, and God approaches you. Hold the inhalation, and God remains with you. Exhale, and you approach God. Hold the exhalation, and surrender to God.” – T. Krishnamacharya, father of modern yoga.
Humans can survive three days without water, but only two minutes without breath. Despite how much we rely on the breath, we are too often distracted away from this enchanting, mysterious life force. We minimize its power and it becomes shallow, subconscious, or held in fear. When we bring awareness to the breath, we recognize and honor it as a divine force, a steadfast companion and friend. Further still, when we harness the breath we recognize ourselves as a divine force too.
Explore guidance with gentle movement, extended pranayama, and the deep quiet and coziness that resonates afterward in this four- week series. No experience with breathwork is necessary, and multiple variations and options will be given so you can establish the safest relationship possible with your breath as it changes moment to moment.
