We’re already a month into this new year, and you feel as though you’ve already outgrown your New Year’s Resolutions. Your relationships, particularly with yourself are shifting, and you feel focused on your journey toward healing. Change is all around us and within us, but the frozen, hesitant, or even fearful energy of the pandemic might leave you feeling like you want to grow, but that you can’t really blossom yet.
Don’t fret! We can harness the power of change, no matter how big or small, by learning from the wisdom of rest. Bears hibernate, caterpillars cocoon, seeds nestle and wait patiently in the soil. Rest is not a reward for surviving change, but rather a requirement to process it!
This six-week series will utilize the slow and embodied practice of restorative yoga as an approach to understand and enjoy deep, fruitful, and impactful life changes. No matter what your journey has been over the past year, you are invited to bloom anew in a supportive and safe virtual environment.
Facilitator, Alicia Delaney, will theme each week according to a different phase of the transformation process. Students will be given space to explore these phases through restorative sequences, journaling, and prop support (3 blankets and a set of blocks are recommended for deepest comfort).
By building this habit of six weeks of rest, you will create space for deep replenishment and inquiry, and grow inspired to listen, move, and transform with intention through the many changes life offers to us all.
