Animal Reiki for Reiki Practitioners

  • Joy of Yoga 8918 Manchester Road Brentwood, MO, 63144 United States (map)

For those planning to be attuned to Reiki in the future and those already attuned. Build upon your Reiki skills and knowledge with this workshop geared specifically to working with animals.

A lot of Reiki courses just touch the surface when it comes to Animal Reiki. Take a deeper dive into Animal Reiki and learn how to modify your practice from doing Reiki to animals, to "being Reiki" with them. We will discuss how Reiki can benefit stressed or anxious animals and how to incorporate a more effective way of treating animals with Reiki. Whether it is to treat a pet, show animal, shelter animals, or animals in the wild, this class is for you.

Topics discussed during the workshop include; how animals respond to and dictate a Reiki treatment, how to give an Animal Reiki treatment, how to work with animals remotely or from a distance, and how meditation is an Animal Reiki practitioner’s greatest tool.

About the Facilitator:

At Kiboko Ki our mission is to enhance the quality of life and well-being of animals, no matter the species, by providing relaxation, stress relief & healing energy through the practice of Reiki.

Mike De Pope is the owner of Kiboko Ki and a certified Reiki Master Practitioner in the Usui Shiki Ryoho Lineage of Reiki Practitioners and a certified Animal Reiki Practitioner.

Why hippos? He considers the hippopotamus his spirit animal and we share many of the same qualities. Hippos often submerge themselves in creativity without fear of the powerful emotions that surface in this process. They have a secure connection to the spiritual, artistic, and healing realms of water and, therefore, are highly creative. Hippos act on their intuition without hesitation or questioning it.

Mike was introduced to Reiki by a massage therapist while on vacation. After hearing how animals seem to be drawn to him, and hearing the compassion and love he has for all species, she felt he had a calling in healing and recommended I look into taking a Reiki class. While studying Reiki, Mike was immediately drawn to Reiki for Animals and wanted to learn more and expand his study with classes and workshops specifically geared to Reiki for Animals.

Mike has seen all species of animals respond to Reiki energy from insects to large wild animals. It doesn't matter if they are someone's pet, under human care at zoos, aquariums, sanctuaries or shelters, or roaming wild – animals are naturally drawn to the healing energy and Mike loves partnering with them on their healing journey.
